We got to the red tree just as the sun touched Roundtop Hill 1000 feet
above us. We actually got into the curve, but between the ever-increasing current and the
fact that we needed to be back at the boat ramp by sunset, we decided to stick with the previously
agreed upon turnaround and not extend the trip.
